Behind the Camera: My Creative Process
As the videographer and producer, I was responsible for:
- Pre-event planning: Coordinated with fraternity leadership to understand traditions and shot list priorities.
- Multi-angle cinematography: Used a mix of handheld and stabilized gimbal footage for dynamic movement.
- Audio capturing & mastering: Prioritized chants, crowd reactions, and step sounds to bring viewers into the experience.
- Post-production editing: Crafted a seamless visual story with crisp cuts, cinematic transitions, and branded overlays to maintain chapter identity.
- Delivery timeline: Completed within 72 hours of the probate for maximum relevancy and shareability.
My Goal:
To authentically document this historic milestone and deliver a high-quality digital keepsake that highlights the tradition, unity, and excellence of Kappa Alpha Psi’s Alpha Xi Chapter—while making it emotionally impactful and culturally significant for future generations.
